Master courses
Astronomical Spectroscopy (lecturer, Leiden University)
This Master-level course (3 EC, Level:500) explores the principles and applications of atomic and molecular spectroscopy in an astronomical context. Topics include the fundamentals of absorption spectroscopy, the historical development of astronomical spectroscopy, and the interpretation and simulation of spectra involving electronic, vibrational, and rotational transitions. A key focus is the interplay between observational data and laboratory measurements in advancing our understanding of the universe.

Bachelor courses
Radiative Processes (co-lecturer with Dr. R.J. van Weeren, Leiden University)
This Bachelor-level course (6 EC, Level: 300) aims to understand and recognize the different ways matter and light interact in an astrophysical context, including emission, scattering, and absorption. This allows us to interpret the light we observe from astrophysical sources in a physical way. Throughout the course, we will rely on mathematical derivations to gain a deep understanding of the processes involved.

Summer schools
Laboratory astrophysics, AstroTwinCoLO (lecturer, online)
The AstroTwinCoLO is an academic partnership with Leiden Observatory to strengthen astronomy education at the University of Antioquia. [link]
Interstellar Ices, LEAPS (lecturer, online)
LEAPS is an opportunity for students with an interest in astronomy and astrophysics to perform a 10-week summer research project in collaboration with a research scientist from Leiden Observatory or ESA/ESTEC.
